Social Communication
If your child is hard to understand, gets frustrated when others don’t understand them, or has difficulty saying certain sounds, speech sound therapy can help. Treatment may include learning where and how sounds are made, building from sounds to words and sentences, and helping new skills carry over into everyday conversation. The goal is clearer, more confident communication not just during therapy, but wherever your child goes.

If your child has difficulty following directions, answering questions, learning new words, putting sentences together, or explaining their thoughts, they may benefit from language support. Treatment may include play, books, storytelling, games, and everyday activities designed to build vocabulary, sentence structure, comprehension, question-answering, and narrative skills. We focus on helping children use these skills meaningfully to learn, connect, and share what they think, feel, and know.

Speech Sounds
Reading begins with a strong foundation in both spoken language and understanding how sounds connect to print. Your child may benefit from literacy support if they have difficulty rhyming, identifying or manipulating sounds in words, learning letter-sound relationships, sounding out unfamiliar words, reading fluently, learning vocabulary, or understanding what they read. Treatment may include explicit, systematic instruction in phonological awareness and decoding alongside vocabulary, oral language, and reading comprehension activities giving your child the tools to become a stronger and more confident reader.

Speech Sounds
Some children need more than spoken words to fully express everything they have to say, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) can give them additional ways to communicate. AAC may include gestures, pictures, communication boards, or speech-generating devices, and it can be used alongside a child’s existing speech. Treatment focuses on building meaningful, functional communication through modeling AAC during play, books, routines, and conversations while coaching families and other communication partners to confidently support its use across everyday environments.

Social Communication
Every child’s communication journey looks a little different, but you may have questions if your little one isn’t yet using many gestures, sounds, words, or word combinations, or has difficulty communicating what they want, need, or notice. Early communication therapy is relationship-based and play-focused, using your child’s interests and everyday routines to build foundational skills like shared attention, imitation, gestures, turn-taking, understanding language, and using words or other forms of communication. Parent coaching is an important part of treatment, giving you evidence-based strategies you can naturally use during playtime, meals, bath time, books, and other little moments throughout your day.

"I cannot recommend Ms. Sophia enough. She was amazing with our middle from the first hello til our last session, following his lead while still challenging him to grow. With her, therapy felt like play time but with all the benefits of learning and growing. Often times we’d pass the center and he’d get excited thinking it was therapy day asking for “Phia”. I believe he would not have made such leaps and bounds in his communication had he had a different speech therapist. We wish we still lived close to continue our speech journey with her!"
"We started our journey 3 years ago and have had the great opportunity to have Ms.Sophia as our son's teacher. She has been an absolute blessing and a wonderful teacher and we owe our son's vastly growing speech to her. To a boy who could barely say a sentence to a little boy who can tell you the scientific names of dinosaurs is all because of Ms.Sophia and the impact she had and the knowledge she blessed our son with. We will forever be so grateful for helping our baby to find his voice."
"Going to speech therapy for the first time with your autistic kids can be scary, but Ms. Sophia made us feel so welcomed and met my kids exactly where they were at. My daughter can especially have trouble in a classroom or therapy setting and Ms. Sophia took the extra time to learn her and her interests to make the most of our time together. Like having her favorite game or activity ready when we came in, knowing her favorite characters names, and helping me with her AAC device. To say we were sad to lose her would be the biggest understatement. Ms. Sophia was such a special first part of our speech therapy journey, and any child would be lucky to have her be apart of their journey too!"
"Sophia is absolutely amazing. After one session with her we could tell that she was genuine and had so much passion and love for helping others. We grew to love her over the year that she worked with our boy. When she started working with him he could barely say a handful of words, after a few months the amount of words he could say had grown and within the year he actually started speaking in short sentences! Sophia made each session so much fun, he loved the days we got to see her. He thought it was just play time but she had a knack for getting him to make different sounds and trying to pronounce different words. Sophia has such a special gift working with kids and we are so grateful for her. "
